A world in the head goes round in circles within the skull. It struggles in the „headspace“ between the visible and the invisible to find a way to document its own influence. Which marks does it leave, and what can you decipher from them, via light signals coming through? And where is the path into the realm where ideas and pictures, multi-layered scenarios and dream-like fragmented sequences are born? Stephanie Winter follows signposts into the unconscious. She mounts a remote-controlled vehicle in the ‚psychodrome’ of her imagination. In her paintings, drawings, conceptual and cinematic works, in her pictorial fictions and filmic realities the perception changes continuously between apparent stupor and invisible nausea until it levels out on a closed orbit around the soul.
